Who goes to Co-op Camp?

Youth ages 12 -18 from all across Saskatchewan who are into trying new things, making new friends, developing their leadership skills and spending time at beautiful Candle lake.
What is Co-op Camp and what do you do there?

Co-op Camp is a series of 8 camps throughout July and August where youth from all across Saskatchewan come together to meet new people, develop leadership skills and learn more about co-operatives and have a great time. Co-op Camp is all about participation. All activities are hands-on and interactive and challenge you to work together to solve challenges. There is also swimming, canoeing, volleyball, campfires, and games.

Why would I go to Co-op Camp?

Because it is a ridiculous amount of fun! You will have the chance to develop your communication, teamwork and co-operation skills through fun activities and games as well as learn more about co-operatives. Check out these sweet videos! And find out why Co-op Camp Rocks!
Where is Co-op Camp?
Junior, Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced and Senior Grad Camps are held at beautiful Candle Lake. The camp has eight heated cabins, indoor washrooms, and a main hall for activities and meals. Here are some pictures of the camp and the surrounding area.

Grad Camp are held at Last Mountain Lake. This camp is lake front and features dormlike facilities. One of the most popular features of Last Mountain Lake is the infamous mud pit from our promo video.
How do I get to Co-op Camp?

Bus transportation is provided for free
to camp from Saskatoon and Prince
Albert. The bus leaves Saskatoon from the Co-op Store on 33rd Street W.

How do I know which camp to register for?

If you are 12 or 13 before December 31, 2012 and:
have never attended Co-op Camp, then register at the Junior level, or
have completed the Junior level, register at the Introductory level. -
If you are 14 or 15 before December 31, 2012 and:
have never attended Co-op Camp, then register at the Introductory level, or
have completed the Introductory level, register at the Intermediate level. -
If you are 16 before December 31, 2012 and
have completed the Introductory level register at the Advanced level. -
If you are 16 to 18 before December 31, 2012 and
have never attended Co-op Camp, register at the Advanced level.
How much does it cost?
Participants pay a $210 registration fee. If you want to attend a camp but are unable to pay some, or all, of the participant fee, please contact us. We may be able to help you find additional sponsorship. In addition, a local co-operative sponsor pays a $415 sponsorship fee on your behalf.
For tips on finding a sponsor, go to the Find a Sponsor page. If you are unable to find a sponsor, we are happy to help you find one in your area - just contact our office. We'll ensure that no one is turned away from the program due to lack of sponsorship.
